Laminate is a paper product consisting of a sheet of pre-printed offset board that is glued onto a fluted paper base. The fluted paper bases that are most used are E, B and F flute but EB and BC board bases can also be laminated.

Laminated packaging has many advantages:

• greater mechanical toughness for stacking (BTC) compared to cartonboard, whilst maintaining the same print quality;
• better print quality compared to directly printed corrugated board, enabling the pack to “show off” the product that it contains
